WINE PAIRING:
Pair it with a Chenin Blanc, preferably wooded. The most widely planted varietal in South Africa, accounting for 18.6% of vineyards, has typical notes of apples and quince. Chenin Blanc is one of the most versatile white cultivars, and is formerly known in South Africa as Steen wine, due to the unknown vine cuttings sent to Jan van Riebeeck by the Dutch East India Trading Company.
